Time Out Sydney / Issue 24: April 23-29, 2008

Room with a view

Sydney style is inherent in many different icons, but none captures its essence quite like the Harbour.

Room with a view

Here are Time Out’s favourite spots to work out, stretch, or simply sit and enjoy one of the world’s most stylish vistas.

Blackwattle Bay Park Access via Cook & Oxley Sts, Glebe 2037. This park, between Blackwattle and Rozelle Bays, provides much nicer views of Anzac Bridge than you will ever get trying to drive across it in peak hour. Its barbeques and playground also make it a perfect picnic spot.

Strickland House 52 Vaucluse Rd, Vaucluse 2030. Make your way to the back of the grounds and you’ll stumble upon Milk Beach, a hidden oasis which offers breathtaking views of the city skyline and Rose Bay.

Blues Point Reserve Cnr Blues Point Rd & Henry Lawson Ave, McMahons Point 2060. A favourite vantage point for NYE fireworks, this North Sydney park boasts uninterrupted views of the harbour. Wile away an afternoon relaxing under the sprawling branches of one of the figs.
