Time Out goes Mardi Gras
This week saw the sensational launch of Time out's Mardi Gras issue at Gilligans Club at Taylor Square's Oxford Hotel.
Dubbed 'the most eclectic party crowd of 2008', launch guests consisted of a urban pastiche of the finest gay, lesbian, transgender drag and queer lovin' straights on offer. The party kicked off with Sydney Drag icon Minni Cooper and her version of Olivia's 'grease is the word'. With drag D.J de Jour - Miss Kitty Glitter at the decks, the dance floor was jam packed in between the next few performances which saw the irresistible Courtney Act and the gender bending Cosima De Vito giving their all for Time Out's fine guests.
The five hour shindig had guests leaving wet from rug cutting, and kicked on until the wee hours at the Stonewall hotel where further gay festivities were enjoyed by all.
