Ready to Drink

Anything Ready To Drink tends to evoke the days of sugary alcopops and sneaky pashes in the park before blue light discos. But they're not all marketed at teenagers looking to pass out with nothing but bad memories. There are a few that are actually made to enjoy

CampariSoda Canadian Club and Dry Jim Beam and Ginger Beer
$3.75 each $22.49, 6 pack $21.99, 6 pack
The first pre-mixed drink in the world. Distributed mainly in Italy but a more recent arrival here, it's been the subject of artworks (Ingo Maurer created ‘the Campari light', an arty example of which graces Pompei's pizzeria in Bondi) and is a perfectly balanced mix of soda and Campari. It's a grown up dry ginger ale and as well as being a much chugged classic, translates well to being packaged as a pre-mix and is a great one for winter and an easy throw back. Distilled in Canada, there's a nice graininess to it. Tastes like real ginger beer - none of that bizarre ginger beer flavouring and is straight up - not too sweet with a nice cloudy ginger quality and is potentially very sessionable.
